Gas stove installation in Johannesburg & the West Rand
Gas stove installation covers freestanding gas stoves, built-in gas hobs and gas ovens. Gas Wizards site the cylinders outside and fit the regulator. A copper line runs through the wall to an isolation valve, and the appliance connects with an approved hose. It is leak-tested and certified, across Johannesburg and the West Rand.

Freestanding stove, hob or oven
Freestanding gas stove — the simplest: cylinders outside, a copper line through the wall behind the stove, an isolation valve, and a flexible connection long enough to pull the stove out for cleaning.
Built-in gas hob — the hob drops into a cut-out in the countertop; the gas connection is made underneath and must stay reachable. For a new cut-out, get the size from the hob's manual before the counter is cut.
Gas oven — built-in gas ovens need ventilation around the unit as the manufacturer specifies. Many people pair a gas hob with an electric oven, which is fine.

Swapping electric for gas
The most common job: an electric stove comes out, a gas or gas/electric unit goes in. When the new stove has an electric oven, it still needs its electrical point — keep that in mind when you choose. The gas side is ours; we'll tell you if the kitchen layout needs anything moved.
What drives the price
- Distance from the cylinder position to the appliance
- Whether the pipe goes through a wall, under a floor or around the house
- Whether cylinders, regulator and a cage are already there
- One appliance or several on the same installation

Then the certificate
No appliance is handed over untested. Your gas certificate of compliance covers the whole installation — add a gas geyser later and the installation is re-tested and re-certified.

No — the installations we do keep cylinders outside, which is the layout SANS 10087-1 is built around and the one that certifies cleanly.
How long does a gas stove installation take?
A few hours for a straightforward stove or hob with a short run through the wall.
Can I buy the stove myself?
Yes — most people do. Check it's built for LPG (not natural gas only) and send us the model so we can confirm the connection.
Do I need a COC for a gas hob?
Yes. Any gas appliance installation must be certified by a registered installer.
